The Bury Agricultural Show is back but this time it’s greener than ever! As part of its commitment to become an environmentally friendly event, the show is replacing the red diesel in its tractors and equipment with Crown HVO fuel to drive down net CO2 emissions.
This is a huge step towards running an environmentally friendly event. Thanks to its drop-in functionality, we can use HVO in our vehicles and equipment without any further investment, modifications or upgrades needed.
JODIE WALTON, Sponsorship coordinator and committee member, the bury agricultural show
HVO is manufactured using waste organic feedstocks such as used cooking oil. The sustainable fuel, which has been officially certified by the ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification), is already in use across many sectors, offering up to a 90% reduction in net CO2 emissions and a 27% reduction in harmful nitrogen oxide emissions.
We’re proud to sponsor the show for another year. Previously, donating red diesel to the event, as part of our transition to becoming a leading UK alternative fuels supplier, we’re encouraging organisations to change their fossil fuels for cleaner options.
We are excited to be pioneering change and we call on the government to follow in Sweden’s green footsteps by introducing tax duty relief on fuels such as HVO to help encourage uptake.
