Rochdale AFC Ditches Diesel for Crown HVO
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve extended our partnership with Rochdale AFC for another six years which includes continuing to sponsor the front of shirts and holding the stadium naming rights. As part of our continued sponsorship, we are also supplying the club with our renewable diesel fuel, Crown HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) to help reduce its environmental impact.

Ford Approves HVO Fuel for Transit Vans
Carmaker Ford has this week announced the use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO fuel) in its Transit vans, specifically its 2.0-litre EcoBlue vans. This makes it the latest in a number of vehicle manufacturers that approve the use of HVO fuel in their vehicles, joining the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Renault, Peugeot and others.

Up to £260 Million in Tax Owed to HMRC by Fuel Fraudsters
An estimated £190 million in duty and VAT is owed to HMRC by fuel fraudsters in the last year – although this tax gap figure could be as high as £260 million [1]. With as many as 5,821 instances of fuel fraud uncovered so far since 2016, the crime makes up as much as 2% of the UK diesel market, according to HMRC figures obtained by fuel supplier Crown Oil through a Freedom of Information request.
