As well as our team of knowledgeable account managers and friendly drivers, our qualified technicians are based in-house at our onsite laboratory and are on hand to support your business with any fuel-related needs.
Richard – R&D Development Manager
Richard has been a chemist in the fuel and oil industry for over 40 years, and has been part of the Crown Oil family for almost a decade. With his wealth of experience and MRSC qualifications, he’s a valued member of our expert team!
Riaz – Technical Development Manager
Approaching 20 years at Crown Oil, Riaz is not only one of our longest-standing team members but also a font of fuel knowledge! His specialisms include the formulation of industrial and automotive lubricants and fuel blending.
Simon – Technical Sales Manager
You may be familiar with Simon from his work on HVO – he’s been an incredible advocate for the advanced sustainable diesel alternative, and his knowledge about our renewable fuels is second to none!
Glen – Technical Manager
Glen works at Crown Oil as Technical Manager, adding further knowledge to the vastly experienced technical team. In particular, Glen works on analysing the current and potential new feedstocks coming into the company with a view to developing potential new revenue streams for the company.
Onsite testing facilities
Our chemists can test your fuels at our state-of-the-art laboratory at our headquarters in Bury, Greater Manchester and provide you with the tools you need to protect your business from the consequences of contaminated fuel.

Renewable fuels technical support
Crown Oil is one of the largest suppliers of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) in the UK. We’ve not only switched our entire fleet to the advanced renewable diesel but we’re also working with a wide range of businesses to ensure the seamless transition to the drop-in clean burning fuel.
Our renewable fuels specialist team is working with UKIFDA, OFTEC and a range of additional industry bodies to help convince the government to accept HVO fuel as a viable alternative to fossil fuels.
